QQ Rockers! As the High Priest, it my service to you to keep you updated on music that I think may be worthy of your ears. Now if ya know me, ya know that I dig it all. All that is considered good. Music that will cleanse your mind, body and soul by penetrating your ear hole! So with that being said, let me introduce ya to St. Paul and the Broken Bones.

Brothers and sisters, let it be known that I dig classic R&B and soul music. I love the greats, but a new crop of artists are keeping that classic sound alive. Cue St. Paul and the Broken Bones. Receiving rave reviews from their performance at SXSW, lead singer Paul Janeway and the rest of the band produce a sound that can take you back to a different time in music. Otis Redding at Monterey, Marvin Gaye in the studios of Motown, or the vibrant energy of Wilson Pickett.

It's almost as they have stepped out of Muscle Shoals Fame Studio, or Stax in Memphis. And that is no surprise due to St. Paul and The Broken Bones hail from Birmingham and has soaked up that good southern soul sound.

St. Paul and The Broken Bones will be making a stop in Kentucky as they play the Masters Musicians Festival in July.

Take a good listen. Your ears might surprise you.
