Still in the Stan, and got about a 1/3 of my deployment finished.
Still a long ways to go before I return back to our wonderful state, and be with those I love. The enemy is starting to get a little more aggressive. More rocket and mortar attacks, and our sister company was ambushed recently, with no injuries. Which is always good. I am moving to a different location that is less than desirable, and it makes me a little nervous going to this location. Over the last month or so, this area has had rocket attacks, and mortars everyday. The sad news is, people are getting seriously hurt. But this is my mission. This is what I do. Reluctantly at times, but Id be lying if I said I wasnt a little scared. So just keep us in your thoughts and prayers. We accept all. It's really weird the level of fitness we have to maintain here.
We work out 6 days a week. I look and feel amazing, but man this is getting difficult. But I guess this is why less than 1% of the entire population does what I do, and Im no 007, or Special Forces, or even Infantry for that matter. Those guys get my respect. I got a lot of soldiers who look up to me, so I have to put in a lot more effort.
(again its part of it) I may attempt a Iron Man contest or something like this when I get home. Lol. At 40, I am in the best shape of my life. And, getting better. Mrs. Tripod Troy will be pleased. :) I have no idea when I will be able to write again. We have to build where we sleep, so it looks like a round the clock thing until we get "dug in". Wish you all could do this with me from time to time. The good out weighs the bad, but when its bad. Its bad. I know you would if you could. Keep rockin' and living in the best part of the world in my opinion. Do what you do. However, be the best-version-of-yourself this week. Dont know why I added that, just trying to motivate you and myself. Until I write again, keep your head down, sweat so you dont bleed, help someone this week, and do something to improve yourself.
Thats an order. lol...take care...Im out.
