Journey founder and guitarist Neal Schon has confirmed that the band's 15th studio album, Freedom, is coming this year.

Schon revealed the track listing for the album in an Instagram post early-Wednesday morning, writing, "Teaser ... it's coming and it's loaded..."

Journey began work on the album in 2020, not long after parting ways with longtime bassist Ross Valory and drummer Steve Smith.

Schon confirmed to Q104.3 New York's QN'A last summer that he had spent much of the pandemic in "writing mode." He said it was only a matter of time before the band settled on a release date.

The band dropped the single, "The Way We Used to Be," in mid-2021, and Schon's Instagram post shows that the track is indeed part of the new album.

Journey performed live in Times Square on New Year's Eve and recently completed a month-long residency in Las Vegas. The band's 2022 'Freedom' tour kicks off next Tuesday in Pittsburgh.
