Fans who had tickets to see Journey in the UK and Ireland this fall received a disappointing email on Tuesday (August 6) announcing the tour was canceled. The email reportedly said "Due to circumstances beyond the band's control, Journey's UK and Ireland tour is unfortunately cancelled" and the band didn't share the news on social media.

Although the reason was not disclosed, the cancelation happened shortly after  keyboardist/guitarist Jonathan Cain sued founding member Neal Schon for claims that the lead guitarist maxed out the band's American Express credit card, which has a $1 million limit, among other accusations.

Journey is currently on tour in North America with Def Leppard to celebrate their 50th anniversary. As of now, none of those dates have been affected.
