The last time Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham shared a stage was in 2018; however, in a new interview with Rolling Stone, Nicks revealed that she last spoke to her ex-boyfriend during a celebration of life for their former Fleetwood Mac bandmate Christine McVie after her passing in 2022. And the conversation lasted " about three minutes."

“The only time I’ve spoken to Lindsey was there, for about three minutes,” she admitted.

“I dealt with Lindsey for as long as I could," Nicks added. "You could not say that I did not give him more than 300 million chances.”

Buckingham and Nicks were in a relationship when they joined Fleetwood Mac at the end of 1974. Their romance ended in 1976 but they tried to keep things professional for the sake of the band. Both members spent time away from the band and rejoined, before Buckingham was fired in 2018.

That being said, Nicks did have some kind things to say about Buckingham, too. “I hope he lives a long life and continues to go into a studio and work with other people,” she said. “He’s also an icon, and he can teach people. He’s not stopped in his tracks. He can still make music and have fun.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Nicks doubled down on her comments that Fleetwood Mac would never reunite without McVie, saying: “You know there is no more Fleetwood Mac now, because when Christine [McVie] died, Fleetwood Mac died. We cannot replace her.”

These comments come after fans speculated a reunion could be in the works.
