Most of us remember where we were when the pandemic hit in 2020. I was out to lunch with a new co worker at a Costco, and I just remember him saying "they're calling it a pandemic now..." and it still haunts me.
So what do people still do since they were locked in their houses in 2020 today?
So what habits do you still have since 2020's lockdown? Here are a few I found
- "Two combined: daily walks and listening to one album a day. I'm still fat, but at least I've learned a lot about music!"
- "Baking my own sourdough bread!"
- "Isolation. I rarely socialize, and I avoid huge crowds like the plague."
- "Wiping down shopping cart handles with a wet wipe."
- "Wearing a mask when in waiting rooms at the doctor's or hospitals. Using a lot more hand sanitizer."
- "I stopped being loyal to my job. I was a server/bartender and was let go when everything shut down and deemed 'nonessential.' Now, I definitely only work for my wage or what I feel I’m worth! I use my PTO and sick days, and never work on my days off. I do only what my wage is."
- "Keeping my home tidier on a daily basis instead of going through the big mess/big clean cycle. I started it to protect my mental health when I was in hermit mode during the pandemic, and made it a habit enough to keep it going!"
- "Stocking essentials."
- "Working out every day."
- "Comfortable clothes. I’m not going back to restrictive clothing, even just tight jeans and underwire bras. No thanks."
I still do most of these, but it's because I spend a lot of time during the day alone. Kind of like 2020, but no shots, no cough, and no fear of killing my daughter Everly.
So what do you still do? Habits that stuck during the pandemic.
